A.P.F. Master Framemakers was formed over 50 years ago as a craft shop to
fabricate unique and distinctive picture frames and mirror frames. Many of our frames are
reproductions of the finest antiques in museum collections. Our customers include
the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art, The Smithsonian Institute,
The White House Collection and many other fine public and private collections.
The original mirror is in a home in a Greenwich, Connecticut. The grounds and some of the decor, including the above mirror, were designed by Frederick Law Olmsted. Our reproduction was created for a Connecticut designer.
This solid mahogany vanity mirror was built for a bathroom. The vanity features gilded Georgian details and the opened cabinet exposes a series of glass shelves.
This 12 part grid mirror was assembled and intstalled on location in the apartment for which it was designed.
This antique 18th century oval mirror frame is being restored for a prominent antiques dealer. The process involved total restoration including new carving and finishing, while retaining the original woodwork and gilding.
This Rococo mirror frame, by a west coast designer, is over 4 feet in height. The solid wood was handcarved by our craftspeople and gilded in 22 karat gold
Polychrome and scratch-through design under a 22 karat gold leaf, created for a custom mirror.
